Danny Dempster

Daniel Dempster launched his professional career in 1988
photographing the thoroughbred horses of Kentucky. After four of his
photographs were selected for exhibition at the Kentucky Derby Museum,
Daniel was off and running on a successful photographic career. The next
year he was selected to be official photographer for the Kentucky Derby
Festival and three years after that he won two International Festivals
Association Gold awards for his photography.
He has spent the past
five years creating stunning photographs of the lighthouses on the vast
inland seas of the United States and Canada as well as along the
southern shores of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.

The results
are two coffee-table books - Lighthouses of the Great Lakes - released by
Voyageur Press in September 2002 and - Lighthouses of the South - released
by the same publisher in May of 2004.
Daniel
maintains a well-stocked, 70,000 image photo library of many subjects
ranging from celebrities to wildflowers. An outdoor enthusiast, Daniel's
photographs of landscapes, wildlife and domestic animals regularly appear in
numerous books, magazines, calendars, greeting cards and posters.
Daniel's commercial clients include Guess, Innotek, Nestlé's Purina and
Anthem as well as many others. Magazine clients have included Field &
Stream, Outdoor Photographer, McCalls, Backpacker, and Ideals, to name a
few.
Daniel belongs to several stock photo agencies and his images regularly
appear in publications throughout North America and Europe. He is also a
well respected instructor and teaches occasional workshops as well as leads
photo tours for several photographic touring companies.
Daniel lives in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana with his wife, Denise,
their children: Jason and Julia, along with a menagerie of pets.
